The cold open shows Mark waking up because of a scratching noise in the wall. He then receives a call from a woman desperately pleading "don't leave me!" He unplugs the phone only to have it ring again.The roommates are up late, but finally say good night. Jed is trying to sleep in the living room when the television turns on to a snowy screen à la Poltergeist with the words "KATE KNOWS" scrawled across the screen. What does she know? Meanwhile Kate is still having incredibly vivid nightmares that leave her facing a wall in an empty section of the building. She dreams that she is being attacked by all these women, one of whom is Zoe, whose body Jed saw at the end of last week's episode.


Molly joins Ryan in his inquiries into Jed's mother, and what they discover isn't pretty. They track down and interview an old inmate and discover that Warren lied. While Jed was born in Bedlam, his mother was not pregnant when she entered the institution. Further questioning reveals not only that lie, but that Jed's mother was a victim of repeated gang rapes. As awful as that revelation is, it is compounded when Molly and Ryan realize that Jed's mother likely died in childbirth because the culprits feared being found out and did not get her to a doctor. Why did Warren lie? And why is the old inmate terrified and disgusted even hearing mention of his name? It seems there are more questions for every one answered. One question answered? Why Jed sees ghosts. Apparently he died for three minutes when he was born.

Jed has befriended Mark. They find "don't leave me" scratched into a wall, and later Jed discovers white petals on the floor of an empty apartment. He has a vision of a couple having sex while the woman begs the man not to leave her. He later discovers a collage of Mark's photos pasted to the wall.
